COAST GUARD CONTINUES TO SEARCHFOR CREW OF FISHING VESSEL MARY JAMES

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Coast Guard is continuing to search this evening for a crewmember from the fishing vessel Mary James, off the coast of New Jersey, after one crewmember was found deceased.

The Coast Guard is withholding the names of the two crewmembers pending notification of their next of kin.

Continuing to search this evening are rescue crews aboard the following Coast Guard assets: an HH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter from Air Station Atlantic City; an 87-foot coastal patrol boat from Cape May, N.J.; and an HC-130 long-range surveillance aircraft from Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C.

The Coast Guard has completed more than a dozen sorties, or separate search patterns, and has already searched a combined area of about 2,335 square miles, which is more than the area of the state of Delaware.
