This directory contains 6,288 images from smithsonianimages.si.edu. The html
was scraped and the metadata inserted into IPTC and EXIF headers. The images
are lo-res .jpgs with watermarks. The Smithsonian Institution sells 600 dpi
8"x10" scans for retrieval by FTP for $200 per image. The hi-res images in
this directly date back to 1884 and seem to be clearly in the public domain.
